A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT WITH BARANGAY WEST BAJAC-BAJAC, REPRESENTED BY BARANGAY CHAIRMAN, NAPOLEON F. CAPISTRANO REGARDING THE USE OF BARANGAY WEST BAJAC-BAJAC FACILITIES FOR THE OLONGAPO CITY TRAINING PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the establishment of Hanjin’s premier shipyard at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone is expected to boost economic activity and generate 30,000 to 40,000 jobs;
WHEREAS, such huge investment will require the expertise and skills of hundreds upon hundreds of welders as well as other trade;
WHEREAS, as Hanjin’s first beneficiaries, the City, hand in hand with the barangays, needs to equip, retool and prepare its constituents to fit in to the manpower demands of the shipyard through the conduct of related trainings like the Welding Skills Training Program;
WHEREAS, the City sees that the facilities of Barangay West Bajac-Bajac suit best for the said training and as such, a signed agreement with the said barangay will pave way for its smooth implementation;
NOW, THEREFORE, on motion of Councilor Edwin J. Piano, with the unanimous accord of the Members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod present,
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Sangguniang Panlungsod in session assembled, to authorize, as it hereby authorizes the City Mayor to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with Barangay West Bajac-Bajac, represented by Barangay Chairman, Napoleon F. Capistrano regarding the use of Barangay West Bajac-Bajac facilities for the Olongapo City Training Program.
Let a copy of this Resolution be furnished Barangay Chairman, Napoleon F. Capistrano of West Bajac-Bajac for his information and record.
